Wilmend
Simple. Repairable. Functional. Are you tired of the "enshittification" of modern products, where useful features are degraded or made impossibly difficult to fix? So are we. Wilmend is our hardware startup designed to combat an appliance industry plagued by planned obsolescence, fragile digital screens, and locked-down proprietary parts. For our inaugural product line we have designed a revolutionary 5-pack modular kitchen ecosystem—featuring a hot plate, air popper, air fryer, water kettle, and rice cooker—all built on a universal, interchangeable square base. By prioritizing intuitive analog controls and easily swappable, standard components, Wilmend empowers users to repair their own machines and reduce e-waste. More than just a product, Wilmend is a community-driven initiative with plans to establish its manufacturing base right here in Arkansas, USA to create vital jobs and drive equitable economic growth. |
